Murphys Fall Conference The CLMA Northern California/Sierra Valley Chapter Fall Conference was held in Murphys, California on October 20, 2007. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Murphys is known as the "Queen of the Mother Lode". Karen Nickel, Ph.D., Chief of Laboratory Field Services, was the concluding speaker at the conference. There were a good selection of vendor sponsors in attendance. Greg Grant, from Dade Behring, is also the Sierra Valley Chapter President. Jennifer Schiffgens from California Pacific Medical Center was one of the speakers.
